To be fair, it deserved less stars because of its length. Anyway, even if it's hardly classifiable as "anime", but more as a visual art product blessed of some soul, it really sets some standard on speaking of capitalism through the lens of commercial design.
This is one of my favorite films of ALL time. WAY ahead of its time. Weird and wonderful. If you have a chance to see this film, DO, and try and appreciate the content and ideas contained in what otherwise might seem to be a cute and frivolous cartoon, which this is most definitely not. This is definitely an avant-garde animated masterpiece of social commentary. Yes, really!
Story was bizarre and sort of all over the place. Sorta felt like picking up some manga and opening to a random page. That may not have necessarily been the films fault however. On the other hand, the visuals alone were impressive enough for me to really enjoy the film.
