A curiously beguiling exercise in honesty and frankness. It's very much of its time and provides a bolder and more interesting variant on the similarly themed Nighthawks made around this time.
Falls into a lot of 70s gay cliches, but it's entertaining, it's got heart, and I found it really invigorating. It doesn't hurt that the last 30 minutes or so are easily the strongest part of the film.
Need to be brave to live my life...
