Tremendous amalgam of the real and allegory. Seems indebted, in a good way, to Harvard's Sensory Ethnography Lab. The music spoils and flips the meaning of it all, though. A shame, because the dive itself and the formal qualities of of the last shot say everything perfectly. Silence would have been the best choice. Shocking that such a well-made, thoughtful film would rupture the meaning and form like that.
