A 12-year-old boy is convinced he’s been pushed toward social suicide when his teacher pairs him up for a project with the school’s biggest reject. But the boys form an unexpected bond when bullies turn their attention to an unlikely target.

An unexpected movie about life-lessons who tries to capture many subjects who are inherent on middle school such as tolerance, homosexuality, self-respect, friendship and courage. It's a pleasant movie with a good Ed Harris and a simple and honest direction by Pavone.
The only thing I didn't like is the way characters are not so well constructed, sometimes they are very superficial; misses some depth.
Este é um filme com uma história bonita da parte dos professores e dos meninos 'nerds' que são gozados. E ao mesmo tempo engraçada. Quem procura um filme com uma boa história mas que ao mesmo tempo não é emocionante/triste, veja.
Loved it. It doesn't have a particularly intelligent plot and it doesn't give neither a realistic or new insight on the matters portrait (bullying, friendship, social exclusion) but it's adorably simple and heart warming.
A nice bundle of campy, relevant and straight-to-the-point life lessons set back in the day... i could see myself watching this in a grade 4 classroom if i were say... 13 years younger... very enjoyable!
