  1. J.J. 'Jake' Gittes's rating of the film The Alamo

Less is more. Too much patriotism, too much religion, too much (useless) talking, unnecessarily overlong. At times unintendedly comic; ridiculous. Although almost too much of everything, the movie lacks greatness. Boring.

  2. traag-1's rating of the film The Alamo

Actually am set to watch it later mainly because of the curiosity after reading this list... http://listverse.com/2016/03/09/10-amazing-stories-about-john-waynes-epic-failure/

  3. JonMB's rating of the film The Alamo

True story? I doubt it. Actual people? Sure. Wayne's directing debut, while not terrible, leaves a little to be desired but the film captured my attention and interest for the duration of the 2.5 hours. The portrayal of the 3 characters (Bowie, Crockett, Travis) and the interaction of their personalities was good, even if not completely accurate. Many of the locations were impressive. Touch of humor as well.

  4. melimoi's rating of the film The Alamo

Actually more of a 3.5. A bit too preachy and too long for my liking, and imperfection on the editing side, but far from the disaster I was told it would be.

  5. Arcanus's rating of the film The Alamo

One of the most boring films ever.
