  1. FISCHER's rating of the film The Apple

Fort bienvenu ! www.cinefiches.com

  2. Adam Whybray's rating of the film The Apple

A small but remarkable film. I really appreciated that the symbolism was grounded in the objects of everyday life so that they partook of rather than just reflected reality. The apple is a good, sturdy symbol. The two girls are utterly wonderful in that way of twins... a beautiful, necessary film that almost shakes off its troubling scent of exploitation. Hopefully, like w/ the social worker, it was all for the best.

  3. Nachtreich's rating of the film The Apple

Peccato, i primi 15min erano interessanti.

  4. James Roth's rating of the film The Apple

3.5. A really interesting film. Heartbreaking with some really great tender moments. Interesting in style too, the switch to hand-held home movie footage at the beginning was particularly interesting.

  5. aikeart's rating of the film The Apple

La libertad frente a las adversidades sociales. "¿Me pegas y luego me das manzanas?"

  6. Ender UÇUM's rating of the film The Apple

Dramatik yapı müthiş. Yarı belgeci, yarı kurmaca ama hüzün hep aynı. Tebrikler...

  7. Güntülü Yılmaz's rating of the film The Apple

İyilik zannettiğiniz her zaman öyle olmayabilir.

  8. aylakdante's rating of the film The Apple

  9. mad.lucas's rating of the film The Apple

    That mother is definitely spooky.

  11. Korhan Kalabalık's rating of the film The Apple

İlk elmayla başlıyor her şey.

  12. nazli kok's rating of the film The Apple

  13. Eugene Kotlyarenko's rating of the film The Apple

  16. ironbound's rating of the film The Apple

Great story of one of the major paradoxes in Islam; society, under the strong influence of the religion, tries to protect girls and women by separating them from boys and men, imprisoning at home, putting on hijabs, burqas, excluding from mosque activities, etc.

  17. Damian's rating of the film The Apple

Truly astonishing. A beautiful, visual poem.

  18. dalena's rating of the film The Apple

"The Apple" has become my favorite movie. Each aspect is original and groundbreaking even for cinema today. Culturally expressive and a strong exposure to humaness, suffering, and innocence revealed through every character.

  21. N!nA's rating of the film The Apple

In Iran there was a wave that directors started wining international prizes by filming the darkest aspects of Iran. These kind of movies are called festival movies by Iranian. The saddest and darkest the movie the better!

  22. Andre A. Neves's rating of the film The Apple

@Rajiv: The girls were not acting. They really were imprisoned for 11 years and are totally socially inapt to say the least.
