only cary grant could pull this off with the precise balance of due indifference and charm to keep it from getting gross

  5. Wee Hunk's rating of the film The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer

First-rate group of actors. "You remind me of a man." "What man?" "A man with the power." "What power?"

  6. yasdnil's rating of the film The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer

Cute little comedy. I can't ignore the poor casting choice though. Like Robert Osbourne said, why was Myrna Loy cast as Temple's sister instead of aunt? Kinda bizarre.

  7. Ellie Groom's rating of the film The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer

Shirley Temple was an inspired choice to play the titular bobby-soxer, infatuated with Cary Grant’s flirtatious artist. It’s fun and frothy, though it is hard to believe that Loy and Temple could ever be sisters. Renamed Emperor Knight in the UK, presumably because bobby-soxer was not yet a well known slang term.

  9. Joseph Judge's rating of the film The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer
