Our take

Jean-Jacques Annaud brings to life the fate of the grizzly bear in this moving adaptation of James Oliver Curwood’s The Grizzly King. With almost no dialogue and an exquisitely minimal score, The Bear is an ursine classic that reveals the fragile bonds that exist between humans and animals.
