  1. msmichel's rating of the film The Bitter Ash

One of the earliest Canadian features of note was Kent's Vancouver set portrait of bohemian discontent. Shocking in the early sixties in some circles the film certainly lacks teeth in a modern context. Performances vary but uniformly amateurish. More interesting is the all jazz music score and a peak at an earlier time at the then little-filmed Vancouver.
