Our take

Nothing will stop it! One of the great monster movies of its era, with little pretense (and a few judicious winks to the audience) and unlabored by allegory (except, perhaps, of American consumerism), The Blob imagines horror as a formless devourer: Amorphous, and increasingly blood-red. Good fun.
