Ratings & Reviews

  1. Matthew Catanzano's rating of the film The Brain That Wouldn't Die

    The visuals are not disappointing

  2. Wee Hunk's rating of the film The Brain That Wouldn't Die

Turns out that keeping people alive after they lose their head really pisses them off. Even really nice people. It brings out the monster in them. Speaking of monsters, I thought the Coneheads were supposed to be friendly.

  3. ZYNAB's rating of the film The Brain That Wouldn't Die

this is really, really amazing...andy milligan must have loved this! it's seething with the same kind of fantastical levels of hate that his films have. every main character aside from the sleazy doctor is a self-loathing individual who have a death wish because they can't bear their own monstrosity...i can't believe this was mst3k'd because it's so damn good and affecting! HUGE favorite

  4. msmichel's rating of the film The Brain That Wouldn't Die

A good sleazy 'B' film that defines what is considered a 'drive-in classic'. A doctor obsessed with transplants has to save his love after she is beheaded (!!!) yet spends his time in strip clubs and with nudie models to find a suitable body for her! Meanwhile 'Jan in the pan' goes understandably bonkers. This is as strange as it gets and surprisingly lurid and gory for 1962 (shot in '59').

  5. Aaken's rating of the film The Brain That Wouldn't Die

Utter nonsense inspired by Lovecraft's story, a mixture of Z grade sci-fi film (the mad scientist) and exploitation flicks (mad scientist goes to strip joints to find a perfect body for his beheaded girlfriend - on a very sexy sleazy saxophone music courtesy Abe Baker...) Acting is so abysmal, the film is so silly it is enjoyable.
