Ratings & Reviews

  1. stair_well's rating of the film The Business of Strangers

Women protagonists hold the attention but slight disappointment as the script weakens and portrays them with decreasing empathy.

  2. ascope's rating of the film The Business of Strangers

twist? what twist? so obvious - waste of time...

  3. Erika Jane's rating of the film The Business of Strangers

  4. Superfrog's rating of the film The Business of Strangers

1 star for image, 1 star for trying. Wanted to stop from the gratuitous torture / team bonding scene 2/3rds in. Has some deeply sexist undertones in the midst of the overall confusion. Actually, having stuck till the end, forget the star for trying.

  5. janh24's rating of the film The Business of Strangers

A small film, but an immensely enjoyable one. The two leads are notably well cast, engaging in acute and interesting dialogues.

  6. Sophie Hurry's rating of the film The Business of Strangers

This film is incredibly clever and leaves you quite confused at the end as you just don't know who is truthful in it all. Besides this it was an okay film in my opinion.

  7. Nathalie's rating of the film The Business of Strangers

A little bit cringe. Unsurprising plot development. More theatrical then cinematic. Meh!

  8. babycakesromero's rating of the film The Business of Strangers

  9. milhouse94's rating of the film The Business of Strangers

An overly ambitious attempt to investigate power, gender, narcissism, and everything in between. Ultimately very limited but still worth the watch.

  10. nickolia's rating of the film The Business of Strangers

dreadful acting in the first 25 minutes (including phone conversations that no one could be on the other end of unless they only said one word, drinks poured and never drunk...). i can live without minutes 26 - ...

  11. MagdaInLondon's rating of the film The Business of Strangers

I wanted to stop watching it midway - it's not that it's horrible, but it's simply poor and predictable.

  12. Steve G.'s rating of the film The Business of Strangers

Completely forgettable psychological drama that aims for Mamet territory but misses hopelessly. Not helped by a miscast Julia Stiles and a lifeless Stockard Channing performance, this would have worked better as a trashy thriller. It just never comes to life, the central relationship is poorly developed, and the end scene reveals the whole thing as completely pointless. I should have minded my own business.

  13. Huw Morgan's rating of the film The Business of Strangers

Very engaging little film. Really enjoyed it.

  14. Suzy Lane's rating of the film The Business of Strangers

a little empty - doesn't go anywhere after an interesting start - but I can always watch Stockard Channing

  15. clancy108@mac.com's rating of the film The Business of Strangers

  16. raggiodisole's rating of the film The Business of Strangers

Stagey, dialogue a little stilted, but explores the notions of power, age and gender with no little verve.

  17. Anita G's rating of the film The Business of Strangers

A real narcissist v. the world of business narcissicm. No surprises here ... needed to go a lot further to be a good film.

  18. Faye's rating of the film The Business of Strangers

Not really that much going on... kind of an 'beginning, and then, and then, and then, and then the end' movie. The unfolding of a series of events that are neither foreseeable or surprising.. but you'll watch it all because its not a bad movie.

  19. pete mcpartlan's rating of the film The Business of Strangers

Either an overly ponderous thriller or a serious attempt to discuss some issues that was kind of fumbled.

  20. horatioalgar@gmail.com's rating of the film The Business of Strangers

  21. Aniko's rating of the film The Business of Strangers

Love the psychological twist. Great performance by both actresses.

  22. PA's rating of the film The Business of Strangers

Brilliantly twisted dark film of corporate paranoia, deception and dark humour. Awesome
