Ratings & Reviews

  1. rllr's rating of the film The Case of the Scorpion's Tail

Fantastic score all the way through. Martino delivers the goods once more. The story has the right kind of convolution to make this a must-see giallo.

  4. Daniel S.'s rating of the film The Case of the Scorpion's Tail

**1/2. Above average giallo well directed by Sergio Martino. No poetry here but one finds in this film all the elements of the classic giallo. Internationalism (London, Athens, Greek islands and Tokyo by phone), sharp-edged knives, glass and detectives, blonde women who disappear (tragically and bloodily) after 30 minutes and many suspects who die before the guilty murderer is finally found. Almost already forgotten.

  5. film_lies101's rating of the film The Case of the Scorpion's Tail

Starts off quite slow but once it picks up, it's a Giallo keeper

  6. Tabikenezer von Higglesbloom's rating of the film The Case of the Scorpion's Tail

somewhere between a 3 and a 4.... aurally and visually captivating and i love martino's womyn (this is surprisingly tame in the t&a dept. and lacking some of the misogyny and casual racism of other giallos) but it does lull a bit

  7. Fabio Nosotti's rating of the film The Case of the Scorpion's Tail

  8. Pymo's rating of the film The Case of the Scorpion's Tail

    Scream before you die!

  9. ElTigreNegro's rating of the film The Case of the Scorpion's Tail

After being dissapointed with Berberian Sound studio nothing surpasses going to the roots. Watching an actual giallo with everything you expect from the genre: haunting score, euro-fashion, pretty girls, plot twists that keep you guessing. Hilton is a solid lead actor and makes some of the most far-fetched plot twists not very distracting.

  10. Matt Keane's rating of the film The Case of the Scorpion's Tail

Suspenseful, superior giallo with some gory kills, decent plot twists and an excellent soundtrack. Sergio Martino is rapidly becoming my favourite giallo director.
