I would maybe give it another star if it hadn't been for that drawn out ending
One of His best books yet to come to life via film! Simply magnificently portrayed where viewer feels all the emotions along with the characters at such an extreme level!
i am an unashamed fan of a nicholas sparks romance but even i thought this was silly.
A good case for furthering "no means yes" misogyny, especially during that awkward and horribly uncomfortable engagement scene that is so dated it might as well be from a 1960's movie. This is a bit more watchable than other Nicholas Sparks movies, mainly because the male character is a bit of a smug personality himself, but the rest is the same old incredulous nonsense.
