Synopsis

This 1930s exploitation film tells the tale of a small-town waitress named Jane, who makes a big mistake when she falls for Nick, a petty criminal. Soon, Jane is addicted to cocaine, and so are her brother, Eddie, and his co-worker, Fanny.

    Not bad for a propaganda film. The performances were pretty good throughout, but even at an hr, the runtime seems too long. I think this wouldve been much better trimmed to a half hr short. Some of the scenes dragged, I think doing this wouldve improved the pacing a lot and in turn the film as a whole. As it is, Ill give it 2.5. Worth a look if you are into the genre
