What are people saying?

  • José Neves's rating of the film The Confession of Ina Kahr

Of Pabst's final phase, made in West Germany, a film that finds both vectors that were the strength of his cinema: the use of kammerspiel as space-defining of dramatic intensification and representation; a strict wise use of light as a narrative element itself, reader-inducing of dramatic senses and sensory phrases. Is to Pabst what "Veronika Voss" was for Fassbinder: the calligraphy of a woman who got lost.
