I really thought i was going to dislike this movie because i originally felt the animation style made it look cheap but Im incredibly grateful for how many times movies will prove me wrong ! Nice and speaks on some family related topics (and visually very nice)
Starts off strong with an exciting football-influenced beginning but fails to maintain that same level of excitement during it's road trip story. But thankfully good gags help as its mixed with the film's so-so story. Overall, an enjoyable but not really standout film.
Act 1 was pretty much starting things off in the usual subpar DWA way but surprisingly improved over the course of the film and found me thinking it was actually solid. Thankfully it was very low on the nonsensical pop-culture references. Very un-DWA. Keep losing them and the rest of your slate will be all the better for it.
Surprisingly charming tale of a family of skittish cavemen forced out into a strange new world when their free spirited daughter meets a strange boy from the outside who tells them that the world is coming to an end. Beautifully animated, with endearing characters, and some witty humor along the way to keep things light without getting bogged down in its message. It's no HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON, but it'll do.
