I have a love/hate relationship with some of Morrison's work, particularly with the scores. Are they necessary? I remember THE GREAT FLOOD (you can imagine the subject matter) having a snappy jazz score- it (no pun intended) extinguished the footage. Here, the 18 minute Lambchop jam immediately makes this found footage feel like a music video. Musician/filmmaker collabs, great, but this feels straight Pitchforked.
