A beast. Zipping through its chaoticism with genuine tension and suspense, well constructed action, and some surprises in certain resolutions. A heart underneath is evident, but it's still two-dimensional. Affecting, but between being fully formed for literature and being undershot for melodrama. Never lagging, but it's scatterbrained, without a main villain, and leaves some questions underdeveloped or unanswered.
Fun to say the very least but with a pace too fast to know or care who is who, The Domestics ended up feeling like an extended episode of the Walking Dead or the 100. There are however definite nods to the Crazies, Vanishing Point, Red Dawn & even the Contenders: Series 7. Will certainly do more for a Goatsnake resurgence after watching Bosworth bounce around the room to their first record. C.
