Albert Finney is a joy to watch in this film. Tom Courtenay isn't up to his level. He'd been doing the play for years, and it had just plain gone stale on him. A fine supporting cast and Finney's great gusto make the film worth watching, though.
absolutely mesmerizing! another masterful work from Yates. brilliant writing as well, you could almost quote every single line; you almost feel that the film plays out shakespeare's masterpiece the same way Courtenay plays out Finney as the two of them shine with sheer skill and force.
Just watch this rather than Birdman!
