This is the third of the three British Imperialist films I've seen by Korda. I thought that the characters were very underdeveloped and the film spends less time entertaining and informing and more time advertising. Then again, isn't that what it was for?
Cracker-jack, Boy's Own technicolor hokum concerning British imperialism in the subcontinent. Lovingly restored with excellent locations, sturdy sets and a fine cast from the Korda stable. No one... no one, makes a better villain than Raymond Massey!
