Ratings & Reviews

  1. Matt Richards's rating of the film The Family Fang

An often fun and often painful look at family dysfunction, patriarchy and general selfishness. Good performances! 3 stars

  2. Rocco's rating of the film The Family Fang

A fairly standard indie-style family dramedy with a great angle and Nicole Kidman in bad wig-work. The ending is fairly disturbing, but the rest fails to get the blood pumping.

  3. Ann Burden's rating of the film The Family Fang

  4. Rachel Tyler's rating of the film The Family Fang

Mediocre filmmaking, but as an art student I found some of the topics and ideas in this incredibly interesting. Great movie for discussion about art, ethics, and parenting.

  5. Anastasija Mass's rating of the film The Family Fang

Unexpectedly >> this film has a story worth of golden execution >>> which unfortunately it lacks. The last couple of minutes of the ending must burn in flames.

  6. FCC 86's rating of the film The Family Fang

"Dont be afraid, own the moment, if you're in control then the chaos will happen around you, and not to you"

  7. Henrique Amud's rating of the film The Family Fang

More like The Royal Fangs, amirite? Michael Blooth and Virginia Woolf have daddy and mommy issues in this would-be rejected Wes Anderson script. Well, I shouldn't give it 4 stars for all the sappy, clichéd and otherwise totally cringeworthy moments that got in there, specially in it's third act, but I'll do it because I really enjoyed Bateman and Kidman together and for some really (hit or miss) interesting writing.

  8. aliasgenius's rating of the film The Family Fang

Very entertaining premise, falls pretty flat in the third act. 3/5

  9. Filipe F. Coutinho's rating of the film The Family Fang

A penetrating look into a dysfunctional family, Jason Bateman's second film as a director is nothing short of fascinating. Not only The Family Fang offers thought-provoking questions about the nature of art and its relation to family dynamics and what it means to be human, but is also able to do so while keeping an impossibly charming and offbeat tone that services the narrative to perfection.

  10. Nathan Grey Hollis's rating of the film The Family Fang

I really enjoyed this film for the most part. The third act was a little weak. Also, Nicole Kidman should not run in movies...

  11. Rice Dream Girl's rating of the film The Family Fang

Bizarre, entertaining, Bateman and especially Kidman are great. Caleb and Camille are far too one-dimensional, though. A fine film that could be a little more nuanced.

  12. eek's rating of the film The Family Fang

As it goes on, it gets better and better.
