A One Take Woody wonder! Script is hilarious at times. After a while, the plot starts to wear thin but luckily, quick pace keeps one from mostly noticing this flaw. Interesting take on jealousy trope, Heflin steals the show w/ one of his best roles before becoming a lead. Russells the main drawback, and I love her, but this film wouldve worked better w/ someone like Hedy Lamarr in her role. 3.5 stars though, good fun
Fun script that eventually wears out its welcome in a tale of a writer/philosopher whose wife just doesn't understand his theories on overcoming jealousy. When he gets involved with a book editor her partner puts the moves on the wife. Van Heflin steals the show here with a very good turn by Ameche and good support from Francis. The star however is Rosalind Russell who can't overcome the shrillness of her character.
