  1. José Neves's rating of the film The Forty-first

35mm. A splendor of Sovcolor's expressive abilities, it's also a splendorous use of a classic narration to an unusual fiction, which from a typical situation of Soviet cinema advances into a Hollywood kind of ambiance- and from a film with a clear ideological situation to an ambivalent haze, where typifications fade and gain a non-Soviet valence, i would call it Russian, as Barnet's "Bountiful Summer" and "Alyonka".
