  1. dionysus67's rating of the film The Germans Strike Again

Maybe Sakellarios' best work and a cornerstone of Greek post-war cinema. A great script coupled to the immensely charismatic Logothetidis delivers a bitter-sweet comedy on the anxiety of famine under the Nazis; simultaneously, it bequathes to us a great moral message about oblivion and prioritization of needs -moral and material. It suffers, like most films of that era, from low production values, but it's a gem.

  2. Manny Lage's rating of the film The Germans Strike Again

An incredible film in every aspect. Only film I've ever seen to use that type of ending in a pertinent, political, self-reflexive and magnificent way.
