Atmospheric but the ludicrious story about putting one character's brain into the Frankenstein makes me think about the similar stupid episode in "Star Trek" with Spock. Karloff is replaced with Chaney Jr. playing the Monster, but he miss every beat of what made Karloff great in the role. Even if there is moments for fans this is the weakest film in the whole bunch of Universal Frankenstein films I have seen.
Universal obviously invested less into this entry and came up with a significantly lesser entry. From the cheaper sets and continuity problems to the lesser turn from Chaney as the monster this film entertains for its short runtime but is a pale imitation of previous entries.
