One of the most hilariously bad marionettes in all of cinema. This makes the sometimes questionable Outer Limits monsters that have a short time later look like best special fx nominations by comparison. An awful story doesnt help matters. Still, theres a magic here, and plenty of laughs to be had. 2 stars, yet, somehow recommended.
The opening narration gives it "Twilight Zone" alike feel. And there's a decent amount of suspense in the beginning, since the creature is hidden and the viewer is introduced only with its aftermath. Once the creature is shown, it does look ridiculous but there's also something grotesque in its appearance that differentiates this movie from most creature features. More solid than the rating suggests.
