  3. SpacePirate's rating of the film The Glass Castle

Pretty good film. With this and 3 Billboards, Harrelson is doing some of the best work of his career. Larson is great, and is able to show off her range a bit in the lead role. Watts is good as the starving artist abuse sympathizing mother. Some of the dialogue is heavy handed and the direction uninspired, which hampers what couldve been a great film. Just good. 3 stars

  4. Chihao Tsang's rating of the film The Glass Castle

Felt this was sub par compared to Captain Fantastic, with pacing a bit too slow on paces and things not fully explained

  10. Anca.'s rating of the film The Glass Castle

  11. Kamran's rating of the film The Glass Castle

An intriguing story with captivating performances that is flawed by execution and a forcing of drama and depth. 71/100 - Good.

  12. smndvdcl's rating of the film The Glass Castle

For the most part, a great little companion piece to 'Captain Fantastic'.

  13. Steve Pulaski's rating of the film The Glass Castle

The only reason the appalling ending doesn't soil the entire film is because everything else is pretty close to spot on, especially in terms of casting. This might indeed by Woody Harrelson's best performance, at least as good as his performance as Larry Flynt, and Brie Larson has such a long career most performers would kill for. Frequently harrowing, but that "sympathize with your abuser" closer frustrated me.
