What are people saying?

  • José Neves's rating of the film The Glass Tower

A kammerspiel like some Pabst's. From the demonic and tormented soul of a jealous and powerful husband - Othelo? - a metaphor about the Nazi root in the German spirit, "grauens und marter", from an observation of postwar contemporaneity. In the court scenes, the accused's control devices, film and sound recording, refer to the Mabuse that always exists in surveillance technology - and exists in Fritz Lang's films.
