(Generous) 7 - Overflowing with the charm and uncannily potent nightmare fuel that only an early 20th century surrealist romp could boast. I did find it a bit too similar in style to the work of Méliès, and the stop-motion work, while impressive, was also a bit overdone.
Three people stumble upon a haunted house and clever optical tricks ensue. The main actors look like they're high on sugar, so the energy levels are a bit too much. The apparitions would have been more effective if they hadn't been swarmed at such a fast pace, but the visuals are great nonetheless.
