Our take

Yılmaz Güney’s hard-boiled, onscreen persona reaches its peak in this offbeat black and white western. Made just three years after Sergio Leone completed his Dollars trilogy, The Hungry Wolves sees Güney transplant Leone’s aloof anti-heroes to the snowy mountains of Eastern Anatolia.
