Ratings & Reviews

  1. Christopher R. Smith's rating of the film The Illustrated Man

Really a pretty strange film, though one of the better film adaptations of Ray Bradbury's work. It's greatest strength is how it evokes a palpable atmosphere of ambiguous dread, helped along by Rod Steiger at his very best and the always beautiful Claire Bloom, as well as a great Jerry Goldsmith score. Has its flaws, including being a bit dated and having a weak third story, but incredibly interesting.
