A liberated work of genuine genius. Nothing after the Marx Brothers in American comedy has quite the comparable level of wild insanity and anarchic joie de vivre. The screenplay is absolutely brilliant, but the work of Falk and Arkin is so ephocal in its mastery that one can hardly do it justice. A couple sequences of loose, unhinged slapstick that are pure joy. For 1970s American farce, only The Jerk compares.
