I never demanded a new "reboot" but this film do have more destruction and mayhem for the popcorn crowd. The actors also seem to give the movie half of their energy - and the villain, Abomination, is just THAT! I can't help it but I actually liked this film a tiny bit less than the 2003-version as I missed the psychological study and the comic book panels to be honest.
This is the single greatest incredible hulk film. Norton played a pitch perfect portrayal of Bruce Banner and the film was able to capture the more subtle aspect of the hulk such as how misunderstood he is. It's a shame Norton couldn't have continued playing Banner in the later marvel films but from what I hear he's a hard person to work with.
Man on man did I wanna like this flick. Cast alone (Norton! Roth! Hurt! Arwen!) should've carried it through to at least a solid three stars but god was it boring. And pointless. I love the Hulk as a character but apparently my green homie does not translate well to the silver screen. C'est la vie.
Graphically obsolete (will for ever think of Terminator when using that word), but nevertheless still ok. Not incredible (lolz) but not bad either. Wanna see a solo movie with one of the latest Marvel movies directors now. And Ruffalo, since Norton's too much an oldie now.
Sad that the CG Hulk in this movie looked fake, while the Ang Lee CG Hulk from 5 yrs earlier looked infinitely more real and... well... superheroish! That being said, Norton made the perfect Banner. It's going to be interesting to see what the new Banner's gonna bring to The Avengers.
