Ratings & Reviews

  1. Aardsy's rating of the film The Invisible Boy

    Shame they didn't kill Timmy.

  2. msmichel's rating of the film The Invisible Boy

Unfocused film that can't quite decide if it wants to be a children's story (capitalizing on 'Lost in Space's robby the robot) or a sci-fi tale about a super computer and winds up failing in both endeavours. Mainly ruined by a terrible child performance by Richard Ever ('The 7th Voyage of Sinbad) who grates like nails on a chalkboard. The super computer idea was at least ahead of its time.

  3. AKFilmFan's rating of the film The Invisible Boy

Poking fun of the unemotional behavior of scientists & mathematicians, this mix of fantasy (things are more or less aimed at children) and science fiction (covering staples issues such as AI, technology, & world control are present but glanced over) is a solid film to enjoy even if it's wrong to call it a "sequel" to Forbidden Planet. It's mixture of genres and tone is perplexing but it works.
