dionysus67's rating of the film The King

A typical example of a competent film with potential of sorts that faces the problem of its overambitious scope. While it is acted with conviction by the talented Christ-like Mourikis and it features some good location shooting as well as evocative set pieces, it suffers from the plethora of (mostly religious) symbolism, the pharisaical characters (Hatzisavvas too), its trivial anarchism and its excessive length.
