Our take

While Hitler sent a perilous jolt of excitement through crowds at rallies, King George VI had a stutter better suited to a pre-radio era. Colin Firth won the Oscar® for his brilliant performance as the wartime ruler—and who better than the beloved actor to star as an awkward man of British resolve!
