Honestly, I had no idea why I'm waiting so long to watch this movie. It's hard to discuss THE LAST KING OF SCOTLAND without mentioning Forest Whitaker frantic portrayal as the infamous Ugandan leader - Idi Amin. He can a very fun and frightening person at the same time. No wonder, Whitaker won an Oscar for his performance. James McAvoy is also great in this movie. THE LAST KING OF SCOTLAND has a great fart scene :)
Outstanding performance from Forest Whitaker. Fine support from everyone else. Good direction and beautiful cinematography. As pure sensation, the film is great. One problem, though. With hundreds of thousands of Africans being killed, why should I give a shit about the fate of one stupid Scot? Africans even sacrifice themselves to save his sorry ass. What is this, Gunga Din? Enjoyable but morally dubious.
