  1. David Sindmark Hörnfeldt's rating of the film The Last Sentence

Beautiful but boring. Jesper Christensen revels in the part as Torgny Segerstedt but otherwise it's to obsessed with being perfect to be an actual lived in story. Personally, the scenes with prime minister Per-Albin Hansson is fun though.

  2. msmichel's rating of the film The Last Sentence

MWFF Troell's latest is the story of Torgny Segerstedt the very vocal conscious of Sweden during WWII atagonizing not only the Nazi party but those government officials trying to stay out of the war.Christensen is perfectly cast here as is the various women in his life. The b&w cinematography by Gavrjusjov is aces. The melodramatic ending a little hard to swallow but doesn't ruin the powerful story that precedes it.
