Ratings & Reviews

  1. In The Key of SV's rating of the film The Living Wake

A movie in the spirit of a play, more so than merely theatrical. Predated the film “Get Low” and series “Another Period” and it just might foreshadow both. Also has broad brushstrokes reminiscent of “Rocky Horror.” All this to say that word problems don’t explain life.

  2. Cory McAbee's rating of the film The Living Wake

    It's different and delightful.

  3. SlinkyLi's rating of the film The Living Wake

If a high school troupe started a movie and a real director finished it, with a cast of actors who try too hard, except for Gaffigan and Eisenberg and Pepitone, who don't try at all, this is a run-on sentence and so is The Living Wake.

  4. benvanloon's rating of the film The Living Wake

Mike O'Connell, solipsistic narcissist, topped with a contrived Mid-Atlantic Accent. A fucking awful film.

  5. saptarshi's rating of the film The Living Wake

godawful and pretentious. you have been warned.

  6. Posterocalypse's rating of the film The Living Wake

What a bizarre film. I can't believe this got made - fantastic. "Ham steaks - take evasive action!"

  7. MichaelBarry's rating of the film The Living Wake

  8. Jon Dambacher's rating of the film The Living Wake

“The Living Wake” is bizarre. Not everyone will enjoy this film. We at Four-Frames.com did. It’s a Wes Anderson type folklore/fable spoken through the lips of Samuel Beckett. It’s been theatrically released here in Los Angeles for the first time, finally, over two years after its completion.
