Ratings & Reviews

  1. ruth's rating of the film The Longest Week

Dross. A poor Wes Anderson knock off where woman are treated even more as a prop to further the story line. Irritatingly tries to make a halfhearted meta analysis of the lack of character development of the protagonist through a nod-nod-wink-wink trope at the end. Uncritical and not smart enough or funny enough to offer any depth. Everyone involved is better than this film.

  2. Rocketeam's rating of the film The Longest Week

Y'know those parody videos on youtube where they imitate certain directors' peculiar styles...? Well this whole movie feels like one of those videos.

  3. Susana Bessa's rating of the film The Longest Week

This is a horrible sample of Woody Allen and Wes Anderson's author elements in the structure, dialogue and just overall tone. It is not at all relevant, and honestly besides having a very likeable cast and a most definite generous production, it doesn't represent anything except maybe some inane clever remarks one comes up with after having a drink too much.

  4. Ryan O'Connor (23)'s rating of the film The Longest Week

Peter Glanz is clearly mimicking Allen and Anderson when it comes to "The Longest Week" with its cinematography and dialogue. Which made me, on occasion, feel ill. And, some scenes are clearly lifted from much more achieved films of this genre. The film is split into two; one shit film (/half) and one even shitter film. The first film lacks any real drama and the second film is told through laborious exposition.
