T. J. Mesen's rating of the film The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring

The greatest moments in all of Jackson's hexalogy are in the first hour of Fellowship, when the world is large and unknown to us, full of wonder and perils. The sequences involving the shadowy menace of the Nazgul are great filmmaking—particularly the montage at the Prancing Pony and the chase at night in the woods.
