Ratings & Reviews

  1. Star Lord's rating of the film The Machine

Mi aspettavo qualcosa di molto meglio ed invece è troppo lento e la trama si sviluppa in modo alquanto prevedibile.

  2. Damek's rating of the film The Machine

As "thoughtful" sci-fi films go these days, I thought this one was pretty exceptional. It ain't perfect, but it brought up that "they don't make 'em like this anymore" feeling. Maybe I'm naive.

  3. kakaok's rating of the film The Machine

vancarpentergelisque soundtrack saves the ride. it stylishly nails noble sci-fi cliches while simultaneously suffering from woody acting. fans of Hardware (1990) should be delighted

  4. Nick Schwab's rating of the film The Machine

Intense prologue and absolutely gorgeous cinematography bringing out its utterly-cool futuristic setting is quickly proven to be a vestige for an uninteresting talk for what constitutes 'life', sometimes muddled plot, and its odd to say the least that Lotz is better at playing a machine than a human. It climaxes with some decently thrilling action and an oddly touching last shot, yet is often synthetic in emotion.

  5. Giles J Davis's rating of the film The Machine

he Machine. A stunning work of positive trans-humanist propaganda. Visually beautiful with head nods to Terminator, Ghost in the Shell and Blade Runner. A tender reworking of Metropolis for the doomed generation.

  6. msmichel's rating of the film The Machine

Low rent sci-fi melodrama that never seems to rise above television anthology style story telling. Performances are pretty terrible but its an uninteresting and derivative script that sinks this one. Some may find some visual appeal but there are even far better 'b' flicks that demand attention over this one.

  7. Serhiy Baryshniev's rating of the film The Machine

Turning young and fit Scully into a cyborg was a bliss
