Ratings & Reviews

  1. FISCHER's rating of the film The Man with the Golden Gun

  2. Cyril Schreiber's rating of the film The Man with the Golden Gun

  3. James Mackin's rating of the film The Man with the Golden Gun

Christopher Lee is a great Bond villain. They had a lot of great actors play Bond villains in the early days.

  4. Steve G.'s rating of the film The Man with the Golden Gun

Sandwiched as it was between the excellent Live And Let Die and The Spy Who Loved Me, this was always going to struggle. It doesn't help itself with stuff about extra nipples and Britt Ekland's hopeless Bond girl, but there's just enough enjoyable stuff here to be going on with.

  5. flobota's rating of the film The Man with the Golden Gun

even if you throw christopher lee in the mix, I just can't get along with the roger moore bond and everything that comes with his movies.

  6. msmichel's rating of the film The Man with the Golden Gun

A step down from 'Live and Let Die' but still entertaining. Lee makes a good adversary and the film does have a few good setpieces but it just seems to drag a little and is somewhat anti-climatic. Moore certaintly growing into the part with light comedy and quips becoming more prevalent. Ekland a weak Bond girl easily outdistanced by the appearance of Maud Adams.

  7. Pierre's rating of the film The Man with the Golden Gun

A group of individuals in the UK respond to Nigerian 419 Scammers as the James Bond baddie, Scaramanga: http://www.scamorama.com/scaramanga_graham.html - This is funny.

  8. Publius's rating of the film The Man with the Golden Gun

Bond goes on Holiday. Horribly pedestrian.

  9. Easton Dubois's rating of the film The Man with the Golden Gun

I feel bad for the man with the bronze gun, all that work for third place.

  10. Marcus Killerby's rating of the film The Man with the Golden Gun

Nick-Nack!!! You couldn't get away with casting a midget as a villain any more... Awesome!

  11. the.deft.one's rating of the film The Man with the Golden Gun

Pedestrian, weakly scripted and often plain boring this isn’t Bond finest hour despite the memorable golden gadget, a brilliantly executed car flip and Christopher Lee’s turn as Scaramanga. I was expecting even more overt humour than previously in Live and Let Die and whilst it’s there for the most part it’s quite muted, as is the entire film.

  12. Wipeoutt31's rating of the film The Man with the Golden Gun

  13. Adam Slusar's rating of the film The Man with the Golden Gun

Strangely underrated, The Man With The Golden Gun might have enough cringeworthy moments to put off a number of fans, but the climactic showdown with iconic villain Francisco Scaramanga (played by the wonderful Christopher Lee) makes up for most of the sour notes.

  14. Fritz's rating of the film The Man with the Golden Gun

The twirling car and Christopher Lee were the only bearable thing in this film.

  15. Phantom*Winslow's rating of the film The Man with the Golden Gun

Was never a Moore fan, but what a cast!! Britt Ekland, Herve Villechaize, and CHRISTOPHER LEE. I'm sold. It's up there right after Goldfinger (the best Bond flick, period)

  16. John Smith's rating of the film The Man with the Golden Gun

As much as I don't like Moore this is one of his best bond moments.

  17. Spencer Draper's rating of the film The Man with the Golden Gun

Classic fun. Moore is a bit rougher than usual and the one liners are devilish. Tried to cash in on Hong Kong action cinema of the 70's and has dated, but still enjoyable. Herve Villechaize makes for one of the best Bond henchmen. Just check out the still above with the duel between titans. What's not to love?

  18. Pierluigi Puccini's rating of the film The Man with the Golden Gun

Mostly silly, but exciting mano a mano between the two greatest shooters of the globe...
