  1. LETTERBOXD.COM/XESCIE's rating of the film The Manhattan Project

My thoughts were drawn back to Jack Parsons but I doubt anyone else who watched this knows who that is. Probably the first and last time I'll ever see a Being And Nothingness t-shirt.

  2. mjgildea's rating of the film The Manhattan Project

2 1/2 out of 5 stars. While I didn't exactly love (or really like) The Manhattan Project, it was funny to see a young Richard Jenkins and Cynthia Nixon. The break-in was nerve-wracking, the bomb-building montage was silly but it picked up during the final scene. The 7/16/45 Goldfinger thing was a nice touch. I could've done without the E.T. teenage cavalry bullshit but overall not a bad watch...

  3. Subterranean Cinema's rating of the film The Manhattan Project

Like "WarGames", this is a fun film to watch as long as you can completely throw any realistic logic out the window. The events shown are so ridiculously impossible that it was laughable even in 1986, and now it seems like something out of a 1950s sci-fi film. But Lithgow is great in his role, and the final scene where they disarm the bomb is a classic in itself. "Anybody want to make a bet? No? Okay."
