2 1/2 out of 5 stars. I neither loved or hated The Men. I commend its social relevance by acknowledging disabled WWII war vets but from a storytelling and film making perspective it didn't do a hell of a lot for me. Young Brando is always fascinating to watch but beyond that there aren't too many highlights beyond a goateed Jack Webb.
A Stanley Kramer production directed by Fred Zinnemann starring the newcomer Marlon Brando. What a program! I really liked the way the director tells us that THE MEN's main theme is sexuality. Note that one of the first scenes of the film is the doctor's speech in front of twenty woMEN. Brando is already shining. Highly recommended.
