An actor falls asleep and he dreams a film. Morrison's revisionist short is a clever take on an older film, though it's hard to say what he does without any knowledge of the source material. Still, that material looks gorgeous and the resulting short is a striking dream, though Frisell's score is lacking compared to Morrison's usual composer.
Terrible. Such terrible footage to begin with, and Morrison's manipulations to the filmstock are really weak, and add nothing, and coupled with the dreadful soundtrack, make this one of his worst. I never understood the affection for this guy. Phil Solomon is the man for this kind of filmmaking!
