  • Peter Rinaldi's rating of the film The New Year Parade

The few things that require forgiveness in this film are out-weighed by incredible honesty in the performances (especially Welsh) and a wonderfully subtle, thoughtful and authentic sense of time and place. Quinn, with a delicate hand (and, apparently, practically single-handed), has made a small, seemingly loose but deceptively focused film about family, divorce and tradition. A true inspiration to me as a filmmaker.
