What are people saying?

  • Rohan Berry's rating of the film The Noise

A breathtaking Iranian animated short that manages to capture some of the panopticon paranoia of a police state, as well as the Kafkaesque claustrophobia of an environment in which everything is listened to. The rotascoping creates at times a wonderful degree of disorientation, like during the sequence where light bulbs are installed. The dialogue sounds like actual interviews, which adds another angle to the film.
