About a football match between Bhutan and Montserrat, the then-lowest ranked teams in the FIFA World Rankings. The game was played in the Changlimithang Stadium, Thimphu, Bhutan.
This film is not currently playing on MUBI but 30 other great films are. See what’s now showing
I really hate football, but this nice movie makes the game - especially the players from two very different nations - amiable. There's a lot of heart in it.
beautiful movie! i wish football would be generally understood the way this movie shows, where a moderator expresses his compassion for the other team's goalkeeper! beautiful to get to see and to know something about Bhutan.
A funny and really lovely look at what football can actually mean as a sport and a cultural meeting point, outside of the glamorous business that it is in the first world.
really sweet, heart-warming documentary about two very humble and lovely countries sharing an experience. premier league football could learn a lot. beautiful portraits of Bhutan and Montserrat and its people
A movie absolutely raw, human and honest. Both cultures and the "cultural clash" are displayed. For me, the movie rises the question, whether sports with competitive nature want to be a playful way to enable cultural exchange and friendship or rather a harsh run for fame, money and superiority... or whether both is possible?
Best soccer final ever! :D
Very interesting to see how both teams from totally different cultures (caribbean and himalayan) approach the match...
One with aggressivity and eagerr to win, the other wishing all to be happy... :D
